The machine was unveiled earlier this year, but the Cupertino firm remained tight-lipped about its release date until now.
Powered by an Intel Xeon E5 processor, the new Mac Pro comes with various processor options, ranging from quad-core to 12-core specifications.
The machine is capable of running 1866MHz DDR3 ECC RAM up to 64GB, and comes with internal storage options ranging between 256GB and 1TB.
Apple confirmed that the Mac Pro will come with extensive connectivity features, including four USB 3 ports, six Thunderbolt 2 connections, a HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
The computer is also capable of 4K video output thanks to a built-in HDMI 1.4 port.
