KARACHI: The Mutahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) on Saturday announced it was quiting the coalition Government with the Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP), the media reported.

Distraught by the Government’s fiasco to bring the Lyari Gang war criminals to justice, deputy convenor of Rabita Committee MNA Dr Farooq Sattar announced his party was splitting from the Government.

Speaking at a press conference he said that the descision had been taken after thorough consultation with the party members and that the MQM would now sit in the opposition benches in the national and provincial assemblies.
