Microsoft Surface RT adverts against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1

Microsoft has aimed its latest advertising initiative at Samsung. The computing giant has released a series of adverts highlighting features missing from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which Microsoft’s Surface RT has. It is the latest attack Microsoft has launched against its rivals, after notable campaigns on Google Chrome’s privacy and Apple’s iPad in the past. The adverts use the Galaxy Tab’s lack of ports and support for multiple accounts as a way of boosting the Surface 2’s image. Microsoft specifies that the Galaxy Tab only has one micro USB port, while the Surface RT has a full-size USB port and a separate port for charging. It also mentions that users will need to buy additional connectors with Samsung’s product. Meanwhile, the second advert looks at the use of multiple accounts and how the Surface RT allows parents to monitor the activity of minors, a feature the Galaxy Tab lacks.
