Pak Child Labor Survey phase II ending on August 15

Lahore (Tuesday, August 09, 2016): The Pakistan Child Labor Survey phase II ending on August 15, 2016. Secretary Labor Punjab, Nawazish Ali Monday said the second period of Provincial Child Labor Survey would be finished in thirteen areas by August 15.

“The legislature has reserved Rs 449 million for controlling tyke work from the territory,” he included.

Conversing with this copyist at his office, he said the Punjab government was completely dedicated to dispose of kid work from block kilns, workshops, petrol pumps, lodgings/eateries, and different zones where youngsters were made to work in risky conditions.

He said Child Labor Survey venture would decrease tyke labour,and under-matured youngsters would be enrolled in instructive and specialized organizations for formal training. He said the legislature would give fundamental instruction and extra expertise improvement preparing along with stipends to the youngsters.

Citing insights of Bureau of Statistics Punjab, assembled in the principal period of the Child Labor Survey, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Okara, Hafizabad, Khanewal, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan, Secretary Labor said upwards of 5420 youngsters less than 14 years old years were locked in at auto workshops, 71 at petrol pumps while 1636 kids were working at inns/eateries.

To a question,he said the last period of Child Labor Survey in the rest of the 13 areas would be done one month from now. He said administrations of different NGOs were being gotten for non-formal training of youngsters in a joint effort with area governments and Punjab Labor Department. AFP
