Samsung‘s Galaxy Gear 2 will reportedly feature a design overhaul.
The second-generation smartwatch will include a curved display similar to the screen found on the flexible OLED-packing Galaxy Round smartphone, according to ZDNet.
Samsung previously confirmed that the Galaxy Gear 2 will launch alongside its Galaxy S5 smartphone, and revealed that it will sport a less bulky design than its predecessor.
“When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved,” said Lee Young Hee, executive vice-president of Samsung’s mobile business.
The Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear 2 have been tipped for unveiling at the Mobile World Congress next month, but the latest report claims that the smartwatch will be launched at a London event.
Elsewhere, Samsung entered a major patent partnership with Google earlier this week to avoid potential legal disputes between the two tech giants.
