Shahbaz meets Pagara; PML-N, PML-F to contest next polls jointly in Sindh


KARACHI, (SANA): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-N) have decided to contest the next polls in Sindh jointly along with 10-party alliance.

PML-N Punjab President Mian Shahbaz Sharif visited Karachi on Wednesday and met with PML-F President Pir Pagara and discussed the electoral alliance for the next polls.

While addressing a joint press conference after the meeting Shahbaz Sharif said that the alliance with PML-F and other parties will remain intact, adding that the alliance will hold accountability of the people who have harmed the country during the past five years. He said that the overall political situation was discussed with Pir Pagara.

He said that alliance will take part in elections jointly, adding that Pir Sahib Pagara has offered prayer that the election will not be postponed and will be held on time. He said that there would no hurdle for Nawaz Sharif to become the prime minister of country third time, adding that no one could stop Nawaz Sharif from becoming prime minister.

Pir Pagara thanked Shhabaz Sharif for visiting kingri House, adding that there are few things which would be resolved soon, adding that it is his prayer that the next elections should be held peacefully. He said that there is no activity presently in elections.

He said that the chief minister sindh was the chief of the Land Commission and he was involved in wrong things regarding the land matters, adding that no positive thing is possible from incumbent chief minister.

He said that the polls of 1970 were rigged and if it would be repeated then the masses would not allow the people responsible for rigging to come on roads.

He said the PML-F is making preparation for the elections, adding that if anything about the postponement of elections would be happened then we will react on it.

Pir Pagara said that he had talked about the bloodshed in election, adding we are seeing this practically today.
